Altimeters and Deployment Controllers™

Report a flight's altitude up to 60,000 feet in one-foot increments. A custom barometric vacuum sensor combined with a logarithmic amplifier, a 18-bit analog-to-digital converter, and one or more microprocessors precisely measure the nonlinear pressure vs. altitude relationship over this large altitude range. Adept altimeters read and report altitudes to the amazing resolution of one foot. They measure and report altitude directly, so there is no need for a conversion or lookup table or chart of any kind. They are completely calibrated for operation anywhere on this planet, and there are no user requirements for calibration or other such foolishness ever. They are very accurate, and they are the only devices on the market that earned official certification via several independent laboratories, and are approved by NAR and other groups for official altitude records, etc.

Maximum Altitude Altimeters: Report a flight's maximum altitude up to 60,000 feet in one-foot increments (one-foot resolution).

Recording Altimeters™: Record high-resolution altitude data throughout an entire flight. Dump data to a personal computer with included Dumping and Plotting Software. Data may be studied for altitude vs. time, velocity, acceleration and deceleration, parachute descent rate, and so on. Flight data are stored in reusable, nonvolatile memories. Data files downloaded include Raw Altitude Data, Enhanced Altitude Data, Velocity Data, and Acceleration Data.

Altitude Deployment: Some of our altimeters include special circuitry to fire deployment charges based on altitude. Deploy a main chute at the exact moment of apogee. Or deploy a drogue chute first, then a main chute at a selected altitude much closer to ground, and avoid those long walks on windy days (Dual Deployment™).

Deployment Controller™: Similar function to an Apogee Detector™. Use to deploy a parachute at apogee (maximum altitude), or deploy a main chute at a selected altitude above ground. This device does not report altitude. Adept Deployment Controllers™ are primarily offered as redundant backup devices to be used along with other altimeter devices.

Dual Deployment Controller™: Deploy a main chute at the exact moment of apogee. Or deploy a drogue chute first, then a main chute at a selected altitude much closer to ground, and avoid those long walks on windy days (Dual Deployment™). This device does not report altitude. A Dual Deployment Controller™ may be used alone, or as a redundant backup device alongside a Dual Deployment™ Altimeter, or any other altimeter device
